Love the expressions on these guys! Takes me back to the days of the cursed legion back when some other folks’ undead actually had character in their bony little visages. But… any chance of releasing some skeletons that are a bit more… naked? I love the proportions of these guys, but I’d find even more use for them if they were more conversion friendly.

I really like the figures and will be investing in some soon.
I’m not sure about the painting though. The clothing (and possibly the shields) look a little too clean for skeletons that have crawled out of their graves.

They look ace guys. i would of added a little more bronze metal in there to differentiate though.

I love the skellies, and will be making a massive purchase later in year but, the choice of colours for the clothes doesn’t do it for me sorry.
they just seem too bright and fresh for me for undead.

Thanks for the comments on the painting.
I would agree about the clean finish but that was what I was briefed with. Remember that these are display pieces to show the detail so over-weathering would not be a good idea.
My own will be done in a more scheme that suggests winding sheets and shrouds.
However, I will say that the blue DOES accentuate the bone and catches the eye.
Note taken of the comments about contrast in the armour but as I am a re-enactor, I tend to base my metallics on the materials REAL armour is made from.
What I will say is that these models are like those that got me into gaming over 30 years ago, and it was the ‘retro’ feel that drew my attention to Mantic ranges. The sheer range of bits on a sprue is astounding.
If you look closely you’ll see that I have used the upper torso from the skeleton climbing from it’s grave on a standard set of legs (remove two vertebrae or it’s too tall) for a really action packed, lunging horror from the tomb!
